'Toy Story 4' Prequel 'Lamp Life': When Can You Stream The Disney+ Short Film?
Disney+ revealed their new short film “Lamp Life,” which follows a major character from the “Toy Story” series on her own adventure, earlier this week. The good news for Disney fanatics is that you’ll be able to stream the film really soon.
So far, from what can be seen in the trailer, “Lamp Life” picks up after “Toy Story 4” with Woody left behind at the fair with Bo Peep and their new friends. One of those new friends asks Bo Peep about her story, what led her there, which prompts Woody to agree. The Disney+ short film follows the children’s lamp toy from point A to point B, how she got from Andy’s house all the way to the fair.
A question on many viewers’ minds when they watched “Toy Story 4” was how Bo Peep ended up in the same place as Woody and Buzz. This Disney + short film briefly fills in the gaps, showing her at pit stops along the way.
The prequel and “Toy Story” character spotlight kicks off after Andy’s little sister Bonnie gave away Bo Peep to some other children. Later on, near the beginning of the trailer, Bo Peep’s lamp catches on fire, prompting the two little girls to run away in terror and for the mother to give her away. The adventure gets crazy from there and when Woody questions the story: “That all happened?”
“Yeah,” Bo Peep replies. “Well, more or less.”
The end of the trailer informs us that “Lamp Life” will be available to stream on Disney + Jan. 31, only one week out from press time.
