Trace Adkins' neighbor tries to save his dog from fire, gets bitten
A big fire destroyed country singer Trace Adkins’ Nashville-area home Saturday afternoon - no one was injured in the incident except his neighbor who tried to save his family dog but got bitten.
According to reports, the neighbor had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.
Trace Adkins was on his way to Alaska for a fishing trip. His wife Rhonda was also out when the fire broke out.
A babysitter with their 3 daughters were at home but all escaped successfully.
According to Rhonda, the fire safety seminars conducted by the Brentwood Fire Department at her children's school educated them about what to do during an emergency and saved their lives.
We did what those firefighters told us, she told WSMV, We practiced it today, and it saved my kids' lives.
Rhonda also said that the family lost a lot of items of sentimental value, including the negatives of their wedding photos. But it's just stuff, she said.
