  • Gary Neville feels Red Devils should go after Bellingham over Rice
  • West Ham overpricing Rice hints they have no plans of dealing him away
  • The scenario of Bellingham leaving Borussia Dortmund remains possible

In the eyes of Manchester United legend Gary Neville, the Red Devils may want to weigh their options heavily if these two players are within reach.

This is about Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham.

Of the two, Rice has been constantly linked to a move to Old Trafford. However, there have been no formal pitches for the West Ham United midfielder.

In the case of Bellingham, he is unlikely to spend much time in Germany with Borussia Dortmund.

Regardless, his preferred stop remains a mystery although the Red Devils did try to sign him up when he was just 16 years old.

Manchester United tried to pitch a tempting offer for Bellingham last year, something that included a chance to make the first team.

Aside from Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea was also interested in luring the English footballer to Stamford Bridge.

Despite that tempting offer, Bellingham opted to join Die Borussen, something that his father Mark Bellingham preferred.

The reason behind this is that he feels that his son can further hone his skills in Germany.

For Neville, that failed pitch could be the groundwork that would give the Red Devils a better chance at Bellingham.

In all, he feels that Manchester United should try and check again to lure the 18-year-old player.

As for Rice, it appears that the option for the Red Devils has dissipated. A big reason for that is the hefty asking price of the Hammers, believed to be around £100 million ($137 million).

Although Rice has been performing very well for West Ham, the asking fee may be too stiff for the Red Devils to meet.

ESPN reported that Manchester United would be better off targeting other players that may be reasonably priced and within their budget.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is an ardent admirer of Rice although it does not necessarily follow that the youngster can take the team to another level.

The Red Devils have already signed Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo, and they are expected to go after a defensive midfielder next.

Rice and Bellingham may be in play, assuming their current teams are open to lower their asking prices.
