KEY POINTS

  • West Ham United and other teams have not made any formal offer for Alex Kral
  • Kral has struggled in his performance at the Euro 2020
  • Anderson's move to Lazio grows louder, with the Hammers having no plans of extending his contract

West Ham United has been linked to Alex Kral for a big move that would see him join the English Premier League ranks.

Unfortunately, the agent of the Slovakian claims that no formal offer has been made.

Speaking to CT Sport, Czech manager Zdenek Nehoda revealed that there have been no pitches made for the services of the Spartak Moscow midfielder.

This clears the air after rumors swirled that the 23-year-old appeared set to complete a move to the Premier League for a fee of £14 million ($19 million).

The revelation comes at a time when Kral had been showing an underwhelming performance at Euro 2020.

He struggled against Scotland, a reason why he was benched. In their win against the Netherlands, the Czech Republic player played only five minutes.

“It’s being written about, it’s being talked about, but there’s no specific offer or (if there is) I’ve never heard of it,” Nehoda stated. “Just because it’s being written about his transfer doesn’t mean (the club) are really interested in him.”

West Ham may have diverted their attention to other targets. Among the players, they are reportedly keeping tabs on now include Morten Thorsby and Ellyes Skhiri.

But in the eyes of Nehoda, the shift in attention to other players may not be because of that performance.

He believes that just because Kral performed poorly in some matches, this would not be enough to convince West Ham to look at other options.

This comes not long after Hammers legend Trevor Sinclair vouched for the player.

He believes that a player renowned for his boundless energy and tough-tackling style could provide the Hammers a big boost and ease the load off players like Declan Rice.

This comes not long after a move by Felipe Anderson to Lazio came out. The 28-year-old has reportedly already spoken to several former teammates, and a reunion could be happening soon.

With no clear future at London Stadium, an Anderson sale would make sense. His contract is set to expire next year, meaning he could walk free.

West Ham has no plans of renewing his contract. He was acquired for £36 million ($49.8 million) under Manuel Pellegrini three years ago.
