KEY POINTS

  • AC Milan is also interested in acquiring Tino Livramento from Chelsea
  • The Blues are unlikely to release the teenage sensation
  • Livramento will have to work for his spot in Thomas Tuchel's loaded lineup

AC Milan is looking to lock up Fikayo Tomori, and the consensus is that the club will succeed.

But until some clarity comes out, I Rossoneri is not taking any chances. If that pursuit falls short for some reason, the team is making sure they have someone as a fallback.

It appears that guy is Tino Livramento of Chelsea.

Critics feel that the Serie A side will succeed in signing Tomori on a permanent deal. But it appears the 23-year-old center-back is not the only one they are interested in.

Goal.com reported that AC Milan is also inquiring about the availability of Livramento, a teenager who has shown promise after winning Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year for his contribution to the U-21’s.

In 26 games, the English footballer scored three times and issued 10 assists in 26 games where he played mostly as a right-winger or right-back.

Livramento trained under Thomas Tuchel and made it to the English Premier League roster of the Blues.

But with a souped-up lineup, there are questions in the air on whether the 18-year-old can crack Tuchel’s rotation next season.

There is no telling if Chelsea is ready to consider a deal involving Livramento. They already lost Tariq Lampley, meaning the best-case scenario would be a loan.

Tied to that, the Blues may try to get the teenage sensation to sign an extension first to make sure that he cannot be easily pried.

Aside from Tomori and Livramento, other players on AC Milan’s radar include another Blues player in Olivier Giroud.

The French player’s contract will expire soon, and there has been no update on whether Chelsea will hand him a contract extension.

Other players who may leave Stamford Bridge include Kurt Zouma.

Having failed to earn a regular starting spot, the French national is likely to skim the market for other teams.

Related to that, Thiago Silva could be sticking around if reports are true that he is set to get a one-year contract extension.

Silva is one of the reasons why Zouma has had a tough time cracking the regular team, and this development may further boost the possibility of seeing the latter walk away.
