KEY POINTS
- Raphinha's fine form is capturing the attention of several clubs
- Leeds United is expected to make an effort to keep Raphinha at Elland Road
- According to his agent, Raphinha will eventually seek to move to a champion-caliber team
Raphael Dias Belloli, known as Raphinha, of Leeds United will be a player to watch in the summer--with several teams reportedly taking interest in the Brazilian footballer.
One team that could try and pitch for his services is Liverpool.
According to Raphinha’s agent, Deco, in a report from Globo Esporte, Liverpool could approach the services of the 24-year-old in the next summer transfer window.
But this is subject to change especially if the Peacocks try to hand him a fresh lease before his contract expires in 2024.
By that time, it may take much for the Reds and other interested clubs to pry him away from Leeds United.
Deco cautions that anything can happen, stressing that like any other player, the Brazilian desires to be part of a team that has a proven track record.
"He has three more years on his contract, but it is not the contract that defines the length of stay or prevents transfer,” the manager explained. "Leeds is aware. They will want to make an important sale, and Raphinha will end up growing in his career."
For now, Leeds United can breathe easy and savor the rise of Raphinha. So far, he has appeared in all of their Premier League games this season. He has three goals to his credit thus far.
Raphinha has also been impressive as part of the Brazilian national team, registering two assists in their World Cup qualifying game win over Venezuela, Goal reported.
