Transfer Rumors: Manchester United 'Ready To Move On' From Winger Following Sancho Arrival

Manchester United is having themselves an astounding summer transfer window as the team is making moves in the hopes of knocking off cross-town rival Manchester City from the top of the standings.

The Red Devils are already linked to Atalanta’s Cristiano Romero, West Ham United’s Declan Rice, and Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane, whom they are expected to come to terms with before the week ends.

This summer will probably be forever known amongst the Red Devils faithful as the “Summer of Sancho” as their long-standing pursuit of the England national team player has finally ended in success with them coming to terms with Borussia Dortmund to bring him home.

His arrival at Old Trafford will mean that someone has to be moved to the bench or, even worse, sold.

Even the rumors of Sancho signing with Manchester United must have been bothering Anthony Martial for quite some time now, and his arrival at the club may have solidified his fears.

New reports suggest that Manchester United is looking to sell Martial as it looks to recoup some of the £72.9 million ($100.2 million) that they spent in signing Sancho from Dortmund.

Manchester United had reportedly been listening to transfer offers for Martial, and Donny van de Beek to an extent, as early as late June according to this report--and there are more than enough suitors on the market.

Barcelona could be his potential landing spot as the Blaugrana are looking to fulfill free agent Lionel Messi’s demands of a contending team while creating space to sign him to an extension.

Martial’s role at Old Trafford has seen him being relegated to the bench after failing to win manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s blessing to start and with the resurgence of Edinson Cavani that saw him be extended for one more year.

With their pursuit of Varane getting closer to completion, moving Martial makes the most sense for them right now.
