Transfer Rumors: PSG Approaches Manchester United Star To Join Club This Summer

Paul Pogba’s contract is set to expire by next summer’s transfer window, and Manchester United has not made any concrete moves that will indicate that he’ll be signing an extension.

Presnel Kimpembe admitted that “any club would be happy to welcome” a player of Pogba’s caliber as he commented on the news that the said player could be moving elsewhere very soon.

Reports indicate that Paris Saint-Germain has approached Pogba about a move back to his homeland of France as they were apparently encouraged by the latter's camp.

Should Manchester United lose Pogba this summer, it would be a huge blow as they broke the transfer record to bring him back after spending four years with Juventus for the price of £89 million ($123.1 million) back in 2016.

This isn’t the 28-year-old’s first time to be linked to a move away from Old Trafford as he was heavily rumored to join Real Madrid and Barcelona last year.

However, it was Manchester United’s £100 million ($138.3 million) asking price that deterred teams that wanted to take a shot at having Pogba join their side.

For PSG, Pogba is not the only Frenchman on their radar.

It has also been reported that PSG is looking at adding the 18-year-old midfielder Eduardo Camavinga to the roster this summer as well.

This does put a damper on things for Manchester United--and Juventus to an extent--as they were also looking at Camavinga as well.

PSG has had an aggressive outing this transfer window as they added Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool on a free transfer, and they are also set to make deals with Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi to further strengthen their team.

Pogba moving to PSG will surely improve their chances at recapturing the Ligue 1 title that they lost to Lille last season.

In 134 appearances for Manchester United, Pogba has scored 28 goals as he missed a lot of time due to injuries.
