Transgender Rights: List Of Celebrities Protesting Trump’s New Policy Against Trans Students

Donald Trump administration's decision to revoke Barack Obama's federal protection for transgender students was criticized by several celebrities, adding to a list of Hollywood stars who dislike the president.
On Wednesday, the Trump-run education and justice departments said they would no longer instruct schools to allow transgender students to use restrooms, locker rooms and other single-sex facilities matching their gender identity. The move has raised concerns in the LGBT community as advocates fear this will add to the bullying and discrimination against transgender students.
Actress Patricia Arquette wrote on Twitter that bullying often leads to transgender kids dropping out of school or committing suicide, adding that "now we can add the Secretary of Education and President 2 list of bullies."
Mara Wilson also urged: “Do not sleep on Transgender rights rollbacks, especially if you are LGBQ. One of the most vulnerable populations NEEDS SUPPORT.”
Nina Dobrev wrote: “#KindnessInAction means showing up for LGBTQ students. You have my support, always.” Jackie Evancho, who sang the national anthem at Trump’s inauguration, also objected to the decision.
I am obviously disappointed in the @POTUS decision to send the #transgender bathroom issue to the states to decide. #sisterlove

Ellen DeGeneres, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Emmy Rossum were also among the stars who expressed their disapproval of the Trump administration's latest move. Several celebrities have protested against Trump even before he became the president. Some of them had also claimed that they would leave the U.S. if Trump won the election. During his Inauguration Day in January, celebrities such as Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Naya Rivera supported the Women's March.
Celebrities took to their Twitter accounts to respond to Trump's new policy.
Just seeing the news about removing laws protecting trans people. This isn’t about politics. It’s about human rights, and it’s not okay.

There's no reason 2 roll back rights for trans citizens or anyone else. What jobs does that create? How is that keeping the US safe? #Resist
