Trayvon Martin's body was examined by a Miami funeral director who said that the 17-year-old's body showed no signs of a violent brawl as was previously reported by the George Zimmerman camp. The medical examiner's announcement came after a surveillance video was released showing Zimmerman on the night he shot Martin. Despite the fact that many noted no signs of physical injuries on George Zimmerman, purported evidence that was used to back his self-defense claim, some portray Trayvon Martin as the troubled aggressor. A white supremacist hacked the teenager's email and Facebook accounts and released his private messages in an attempt to promote what has been described as a racist smear campaign.

Richard Kurtz, a Florida funeral director, said that he examined Trayvon Martin's body only to find the gunshot wound and no cuts, scratches or bruises. The results of this examination seem to contradict the leaked police report that stated Martin was the initial aggressor, according to the New York Daily News. With a single punch, the Orlando Sentinel reported Monday, citing police sources. Trayvon Martin decked the Neighborhood Watch volunteer ... climbed on top of [him] and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloody and battered.

We could see no physical signs like there had been a scuffle [or] there had been a fight, Kurtz told CBS News. The hands - I didn't see any knuckles, bruises or what have you, and that is something we would have covered up if it would have been there.

Matrin looked perfectly normal to me when he came in and the story just does not make sense that he was in this type of scuffle or fight in anything that we could see, Kurtz added.

Along with the funeral director's examination results is a surveillance video released from the night of the Feb. 26 shooting showing George Zimmerman without any contusions to the head or a broken nose. Zimmerman's father, Robert, said that Trayvon Martin beat his son before his son shot him in the stomach.

Trayvon Martin walked up to him and said, 'Do you have a f------ problem?' Robert Zimmerman claimed his son told him. George said, 'No, I don't have a problem,' and started to reach for his cell phone. At that point he was punched in the nose, his nose was broken and he was knocked to the concrete.

According to Robert Zimmerman, Martin then got on top of his son and struck him repeatedly. They reportedly rolled onto the grass, Martin saw Zimmerman's gun tucked into his waistband and said something threatening like You're going to die tonight, Robert claimed.

A police report by Officer Timothy Smith stated: I could observe his back appeared to be wet and was covered in grass, as if he had been laying on his back on the ground. Zimmerman was also bleeding from the nose and back of his head.

However, EMS documents obtained by the Daily News do not corroborate this story. Those documents reportedly suggest that Zimmerman did not sustain any serious injuries on the night of Trayvon Martin's death. Paperwork shows that a second ambulance was canceled by the responding paramedics.

Along with this new evidence about the Trayvon Martin case, others have released personal emails and Facebook message from Martin's accounts, labeling the teen as a habitual marijuana user and drug dealer, according to Gawker. The website described this as a racist smear campaign.

The hacker, who goes by the name Klanklannon, posted the messages on the 4chan message board under the subtitle /pol/ on Tuesday afternoon. One slide titled Trayvon Martin Use Marijuana Habitually showcases a message between Martin and a friend about getting high. Another titled Trayvon Martin was a Drug Dealer shows Facebook messages and a photo of Martin posing aggressively with a large amount of cash in his hand.

I realize that some of this information might be to (sic) extreme to believe, Klanklannon wrote in the original 4chan thread obtained by Gawker. That's why I offer you evidence. Here are my sources. He revealed his sources as Martin's Gmail, Yahoo, MySpace and Twitter accounts. Where did all the liberals go? Did they run off because they can't handle the facts? he asked.

Others saw the attempted smear campaign differently.

A screenshot of Trayvon's Gmail inbox our source provided us is heartbreaking. Martin apparently used his Gmail account for his college search, and it's filled with emails about upcoming SAT tests and scholarship applications. ('Trayvon, now is the best time to take the SATs!'), wrote Gawker's Adrien Chen.

Klanklannon has proven nothing more than the depths to which the racist amateur detectives who have spent days obsessing over every aspect of Trayvon Martin's short life will sink in their horrible quest to vet a dead teenager.

The descrepancy between Trayvon Martin's and George Zimmerman's real characters versus what has been portrayed in the media has troubled some. Trayvon Martin's record has also come into question, after details emerged of three school suspensions from Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School in North Miami-Dede.

Photos of Trayvon Martin were culled from his Facebook account along with messages from his Twitter feed.Dan Linehan of Wagist.com compiled photos from Martin's social networking pages and raised the question of whether or not the teen's image has been distorted in the media.

Even though Trayvon was only 17, he already was sporting gold teeth, and several large tattoos. This one was on his wrist, apparently of his girlfriend's mother's name, wrote Linehan. Linehan showed images that Trayvon Martin posted to his Twitter account, with the handle @NO_LIMIT_N----, depicting his multiple tattoos.

Almost all of this is in stark contrast to the media's central narrative that Trayvon was a normal, happy, well-adjusted teenager. Instead of that, we are seeing long suspensions from school, tattoos, racially charged epitaphs [sic] and violence, wrote Linehan.

Some continue to reiterate that there has not yet been a trial, all of the facts have not yet been disclosed and it is unjust to convict a man guilty before this.

Michael Brendan Dougherty of BusinessInsider.com compared the Trayvon Martin case to the Duke lacrosse rape accusations of 2006. They [skeptics of the media's portrayal] remember the outrage about the Duke Lacrosse rape story, in which white students were accused of raping a black woman, turned into a feeding frenzy, and indicted in the public mind of heinous racism and abuse when they weren't guilty of much other than being pigs, wrote Dougherty. They are suspicious of any story that attracts the moralizing of Al Sharpton, owing to his association with things like the Tawana Brawley case, in which a New York girl claimed to have been sexually assaulted and abused and then was later found to have been lying.

But let's get real. No one knows what really happened, he wrote. The Trayvon Martin story is just a distressing collection of disconnected facts. The media and social justice activists have told one story with them: of a murder motivated by racism that was covered up by the cops. Now people are pushing back on it. But we don't have definitive answers to all the questions.

Others have taken offense at the immediate public indictment of George Zimmerman when many facts of the case are still unknown.

Oh how little we have learned, David Shane wrote on PolicyMic.com. The media has rushed to judgment yet again. Now, it's quite possible that Zimmerman is guilty of everything his worst foes accuse him of. There is plenty about this case that troubles me. But that's exactly the point: I don't know. Neither does anyone else, and both the scope and tone of the media coverage ought to reflect that fact.
