Trevor Noah Dodges Question About Dua Lipa Dating Rumors

Trevor Noah appears to be amused by the rumors circulating all over the tabloids that he's dating Dua Lipa.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter released Monday, the 38-year-old "Daily Show" host leaned back in his chair and laughed off a question about the "latest headlines" with the "Levitating" singer.

Although the comedian did not directly deny or confirm the romance rumors, he did comment on how his love life has become a "source of great interest" to tabloids. He recalled the reports claiming he had a "new woman" in his life after he was photographed hugging the wife of his close friend during their outing back in July.

"The family calls the husband, like, 'Oh my God, Trevor's having an affair with your wife,'" Noah said, "and my friend's like, 'I'm in the picture, too,' and they're like, 'Well, that's not what the tabloids say.' And it's just amazing to me how powerful these things are."

At the time, Noah had just split from Minka Kelly after two years of dating, Page Six reported.

In September, Noah and Lipa were spotted on a dinner date at Miss Lily's, a Jamaican restaurant in the East Village in New York City.

An unnamed eyewitness told Page Six that the two "kissed" and stopped "for long embraces" after dinner.

"They were quietly sat away from everyone else at the restaurant," the eyewitness claimed. "It was clear they were into each other and sat close together throughout the meal."

An unnamed insider also claimed to the outlet that the talk show host, who recently announced that he was leaving "The Daily Show" after seven years, and the London-born pop star were in the "very early stages" of getting to know each other and confirmed that the outing was "definitely a date."

"There is definitely interest on both ends," the insider claimed, adding that Lipa was "smitten" with the comedian, calling him a "gentleman."

However, shortly after the outing, the "One Kiss" singer revealed that she was a "single woman" during the Oct. 7 episode of the "Dua Lipa: At Your Service" podcast.

"For me, this is the first year I've not been in a relationship for a very long time," Lipa shared. "It's been really great to just be alone and only think about myself and kind of be quite selfish."

Noah also appeared on the podcast and spoke about the duo's friendship later in the month, saying, "I said to my friend one day, 'Every time I see Dua Lipa, it's at an award show. So, now that means if I see her, my life is going well,' Now I just hope to see her more so that it means my life is going exceptionally well."

"You've always been really wonderful and gracious. You've always been a really wonderful light, just in the spaces that everybody's in," he added during the Oct. 21 episode of the podcast.
