Tristan Thompson wants a gag order placed on Maralee Nichols, who claims that the NBA star is the father of her child and is suing him for child support.

Days after news of the paternity lawsuit went public, Thompson, 30, filed a petition in Harris County, Texas, on Tuesday, requesting a gag order that would prevent him and the 31-year-old personal trainer from speaking publicly about the case as it plays out in court.

In his filing, obtained by Page Six and TMZ, the Sacramento Kings player cited several instances in which he believes Nichols, who welcomed a baby boy Thursday, violated what he claimed is a confidentiality order the judge orally granted earlier in the case.

He alleged that Nichols' "intention all along [was] to try to achieve some sort of notoriety and gain for herself in this lawsuit," according to Page Six.

In the documents, Thompson alleged that her inclusion of Snapchat messages purportedly sent between the two was an "attempt to smear" him. He also denied ever writing or sending the messages to Nichols, claiming that they are "wholly and clearly fabricated," the filing said.

Thompson further claimed that Nichols "alerted the media" of him allegedly fathering her baby and of the competing lawsuits in California and Texas. The athlete claimed that the court previously granted a protective order to guard documents that contain sensitive personal information.

The NBA player also claimed in his filing that he has suffered "damages and extreme distress."

Thompson requested the court to hold an emergency hearing for a complete gag order. He indicated in his filing that he wants Nichols to post a $30,000 bond to "deter" her from violating the order as well as to pay for his fees to file the request.

A judgment has yet to be made. Nichols' lawyer has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding Thompson's filing, according to the outlet.

Nichols filed a paternity suit against Thompson in June. She claimed that he impregnated her on his 30th birthday in March, when he was still dating Khloé Kardashian.

Thompson admitted to having sex with Nichols several times at a hotel after the pair attended a party together, according to a declaration included in the filing.

In July, the athlete filed a request demanding that she take a paternity test. As of Nov. 15, she had not taken a test, but in a subsequent filing, he said he would pay child support if the child was his.

In a separate legal filing, the fitness instructor claimed that text messages Thompson allegedly sent showed that he wanted her to get an abortion after he learned about the pregnancy. He also allegedly texted her that she would "get next to nothing with lesser support in Texas."

In the alleged texts, Thompson claimed that he'll be retiring after the season, so the terms of support will be whatever is required for someone unemployed.

"All you will have is a baby with a father who has zero involvement with the child and a few hundred dollars of child support a month," Thompson allegedly texted her.

Meanwhile, a source told People that Kardashian was "upset" after learning that Thompson had cheated on her again and "can't believe" that he allegedly fathered a child with another woman.

"It's just a sad situation to her," the insider added of the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum, with whom Thompson shares 3-year-old daughter True.

Thompson is also a father to 4-year-old son Prince with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.
