Tristan Thompson To Pay Ex Jordan Craig 200K In Child Support
NBA player Tristan Thompson hasn't always had the best reputation, and following a new report, it looks like he hasn't exactly made any efforts to change. In recently obtained documents, Tristan Thompson's ex and baby mama Jordan Craig claims he has only seen their son nine times in the last two years.
In a declaration from Nov. 1, 2018 obtained by Radar Online, Craig states that Thompson saw their son, Prince, once in 2016, four times in 2017, and four times in 2018. This means that according to Craig's claims, the Cavalier's player has only seen his son nine times since being born in 2016. Craig added that there has only been one occasion in which Thompson has he spent time alone with Prince.
The declaration was part of the former couple's child support battle. Apparently, Thompson's lack of interaction with their child caused Craig to seek more than the initial $15,000 per month she was paid.
"I have given Tristan almost two years to step up and assume the fatherly role for our son. As set forth below in detail, he has failed to do so,” she wrote in the court documents. “I cannot force Tristan to be a father. I have been and will continue to be the sole caretaker of our son. It is my pleasure to care for him daily and tend to his needs."
The parents of Prince, 2, were able to come to an agreement despite their differences in the recollection of past events. According to the publication, Thompson agreed to pay $40,000 a month in child support as well as $200,000 in retroactive support.
Thompson also has a 1-year-old daughter, True, with reality star Khloe Kardashian.
