‘True Blood’ Season 7 Spoilers: 8 Clues From The New Full-Length Trailer For The Final Season [VIDEO]
“True Blood” returns to HBO for its seventh and final season on June 22, and as the premiere date approaches the fanged gods have decided to gift us humans with a jaw-dropping full length trailer. The trailer comes almost a month after HBO released its first tease – and this new video was definitely worth the wait. Watch the video and check out 8 clues about the upcoming season:
1. A Return To The Beginning
“I think Merlotte’s just got its first vampire,” Sookie says in the new promo video. Sound familiar? It’s because the blonde faerie says this in the first episode of “True Blood.”
Thanks to a couple of flashbacks from Miss Stackhouse in the trailer, it appears as if “True Blood” will be going full circle for it’s seventh and final season.
2. A Gory Start
Season 6 of “True Blood” ended with a hoard of hep-V infected vampires about to attack the town of Bon Temps. And judging by some brief clips, it appears as if the residents weren’t able to protect themselves.
“It’s a blood bath over here,” a voice says as the camera pans over bloody and lifeless bodies.
3. Andy And His Faerie Daughter
As we previously reported, Adilyn Bellefleur’s Bailey Noble was upped to a series regular for Season 7. Sheriff Andy’s half-faerie daughter can be seen in the trailer, first being protected by someone with a gun and then by Jessica.
“I will never hurt you again,” Jessica says to the frightened teen as she brings her inside her home. “I will protect you.”
And Jessica’s not the only one trying to make right by the Bellefleur’s. Bill can be seen in a car with Andy. However Andy is not forgiving and still grieving over the death of his three other daughters.
“Ain’t nothing in this world can make right what you done to me and my family,” he tells Bill.
4. Turning Against Sookie
“People blame me for what’s happened to this town,” Sookie voices over in the trailer. The video shows her strutting out of a church where everyone seems to have convened after the frightening attack at Bellefleur’s Bar.
And while Sookie might not have the biggest fan base in Bon Temps right now, that’s not stopping the faerie from hitting the streets with Andy, Jason, Sam and Alcide to try to pick up the pieces left behind.
5. An Abandoned Town
After the attack at Bellefleur’s it appears as if the town of Bon Temps has given up. Buildings are boarded up and the streets are abandoned as fear begins to overrule anything else.
But are the residents just going into hiding? Or are they fleeing the town for safer grounds?
6. The Sookie Love Triangle
Bill and Sookie have had an on-and-off relationship since Season 1, and last time we saw them they were very off. Season 6 revealed that Sookie and Alcide were happily dating and wanting nothing to do with Bill. Thanks to a steamy kiss in the promo video we know that Sookie and Alcide are still going strong, however Bill looks like he’s trying to swoop in again.
“Do you love him,” Bill asks Sookie in the trailer. Sookie doesn’t answer in the video, however another clip shows her telling Bill: “I thought once I had your blood it was forever.”
7. Jason May Finally Get Some Action
Jason met his match at the end of Season 6. “True Blood” viewers will remember that Jason was happily living with Violet – however the vampire refused to have sex with him. Instead she forced Jason to perform sexual acts on her with the promise that one day she’d return the favor.
So, will he finally get some action in Season 7? Violet appears to be ripping her shirt off in the trailer, which means there is some hope for the Bon Temps player.
8.Who Makes It Out Alive?
With all blood and bodies shown in the promo video, the big question on everyone’s mind is: Who makes it out alive?
Sookie, Alcide, Andy, Jason and Sam all appear to be okay after the hep-V attack. Willa appears to have found shelter in the home of Lettie May and her new husband; while Holly and Arlene can be seen running through the chaos in the middle of the attack on Bellefleur’s. That doesn’t mean everyone makes it out okay though. Another clip seems to show just Holly finding Sookie and the others… without Arlene.
Season 7 of "True Blood" will premiere on HBO on June 22 at 9 p.m. EDT. What do you think of the new trailer for the seventh and final season of “True Blood”? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section or send a tweet to @AmandaTVScoop.
