President Donald Trump on Monday appeared to undermine Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine with a tweet that suggested that DeWine would vulnerable ahead of the state's gubernatorial election in 2022. The comments from Trump came after DeWine, a Republican, said that president-elect Joe Biden did in fact win the 2020 presidential election.

DeWine appeared Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” He stated that Trump’s legal challenges to states won by Biden in the election have a right to go to court.
"On the other hand, it's clear that, certainly, based on what we know now, that Joe Biden is the president-elect," DeWine said. "And that transition, for the country's sake, it's important for a normal transition to start through."
Trump, who has yet to formally concede, has consistently attacked Republicans for accepting the results of the election. His tweet appeared to promote a Republican primary challenge against DeWine.
The General Services Administration, which helps facilitate the transfer of power from one president to the next, has yet to determine that Biden won the election. Nearly every news outlet has declared Biden the winner with 306 electoral votes ahead of a mid-December electors vote.
DeWine was not the only Republican governor to make the rounds on cable news programs Sunday morning acknowledging Biden’s victory. Gov. Asa Hutchinson, R-Ark., appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and said he expected Biden would be president, adding the transition process needed to be as smooth as possible.
Trump is floating an Ohio Gov. primary fight because he just saw Fox air a clip of Dewine saying that "Joe Biden is the President-Elect" and the transition should go forward.

DeWine was elected last year to a four year term. The president is threatening a Republican governor because he said President-elect Biden should be allowed to begin his transition. https://t.co/TzZUwg3l4s
