The only way president Donald Trump can convince Americans he wasn't lying when he boasted of being the owner of a "gorgeous chest" would be for him to emulate Vladimir Putin by posing bare-chested before cameras.

Back in August 2009, when the Russian strong man was still prime minister, Putin for the first time revealed his significant upper body musculature to the world during a trip to Siberia. The shirtless Putin was shown in a public relations video riding bareback on a horse; clutching a hunting rifle while shirtless; doing a butterfly on an icy Siberian lake; and striding confidently along a stony lakeshore, again shirtless, and this time shoeless. Tough soles, he has.

Following the footsteps of Putin, Trump boasted to a Trumper crowd at his "homecoming" rally Tuesday night in Sunrise, Florida about his "gorgeous chest," which he claims proves he didn't have a heart attack on November 17. Trump also claimed his visit to Texas on November 18 was more proof of his good health.

Trump blasted the media for reporting on his visit to Walter Reed.

"They (the media) said he wasn't wearing a tie; this is a sign of a massive heart attack," said Trump, referring to reports noting he wasn't wearing a tie. "They said, he went into the hospital -- and it's true, I didn't wear a tie -- why would I wear a tie if the first thing they do is say take off your shirt, sir, and show us that gorgeous chest?"

He then quipped in his sing-song tone about his alleged interaction with doctors at Walter Reed.

"It's true. Show -- we want to see, sir. We've never seen a chest quite like it."

Trump then took another step to assuring his voting base he was fine. Trump tweeted a photoshopped image of his unsmiling face superimposed on the chiseled body of fictional boxer Rocky Balboa, played in the movie franchise by Sylvester Stallone.

Speculation about the real status of Trump's health went viral on social media with his unscheduled and sudden visit to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), which is only some nine miles from the White House. The visit wasn't on Trump's calendar.

Trump assured Trumpers his unannounced trip to Walter Reed was for a "a very routine physical." Rumors about Trump's health problems, and that he might have had either a series of ministrokes or have suffered a heart attack continued to swirl, however. Some reports claimed Trump was in "tremendous pain" from a heart attack.
