Trump Says China Laughs At The US For 'Woke' Politics

Former President Donald Trump on Monday appeared on Fox News where he opined on how other countries see the U.S. and its “woke” politics.

Trump has said the Biden and Democrats are weakening the country and added that rival countries, like China, “laugh” at the U.S. for fighting over things like Dr. Seuss' books.

“They’re going to destroy it with tax increases the likes of which nobody has ever seen before, in order to accomplish the Green New Deal nonsense. They’re destroying it with ‘woke,’” Trump said. “When China looks at woke, they see the biggest problem we have is Dr. Seuss. In the meantime, they’re building factories and trying to kill us in so many different ways. They laugh at us.”

“Frankly, they think our country is stupid, when our competitors look at what’s going on in our country, taking down the statues to great heroes and so many other things,” he added.

Trump was referring to the recent controversy involving Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ decision to halt publication on six books that contained racist and culturally inappropriate content and imagery.

The U.S. and China had a strain under the Trump administration.

The world's two largest economies have been involved in a long trade battle. Trump had frequently accused China of unfair trade practices and intellectual property theft.
