Donald Trump has been accused of not being a hands-on dad to all of his children. And when he had Barron Trump in 2005, reports swirled that the POTUS refused to change his baby’s diaper.

But during his interview on “Opie & Anthony” over a decade ago, Trump made it clear that he doesn’t have any problem with changing Barron’s diapers. In fact, it is Melania Trump that prevents him from doing so.

“I have not changed a diaper but not because I wouldn’t. She doesn’t want me to. She wants to do it, she wants to make sure everything is perfect,” he said.

When asked in what scenario would he finally change Barron’s diaper, the POTUS said that Barron would have to be crying for days and with a big buildup. He also said that it should at a moment wherein she couldn’t find FLOTUS for at least a week.

The extreme scenario that Trump gave up with suggested that he would only change Barron’s diaper if he had no other option. During the same interview, Trump also said that he wouldn’t otherwise have Barron if it was not for Melania.

“If I had a different type of wife, I probably wouldn’t have a baby, ya know, cause that’s not my thing. I’m really, like, a great father, but certain things you do and certain things you don’t. It’s just not for me,” he said.

Meanwhile, Trump didn’t also change the diaper of his three older children, Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, with ex-wife Ivana Trump. During her interview on the “Ray D’Arcy Show,” Ivana also said that the POTUS didn’t even know how to interact with their kids because he was always on the telephone.

“He was a good, loving dad, but he could not do… the kids’ talk. He did not know how to do that until the kids were in university and he could take business with them,” she said.
