Former President Donald Trump recently lamented that he does not have the time to lose weight as he told a crowd about the advice he received from TV personality Dr. Mehmet Oz, who he recently endorsed for the Pennsylvania Senate Race.

Speaking at an indoor event, Trump joked that he weighs more than 208 pounds and said Dr. Oz advised him to lose weight and observe a healthy lifestyle. The former president, however, said he does not have time to take up the doctor’s advice.

“Can you believe I weigh 208? Now maybe a little more,” Trump told the crowd. “Dr Oz has said ‘you should lose weight.’ I told him, ‘I don’t have time to lose weight.’”

It was not clear when Trump made the comments exactly. However, it is believed that the event took place sometime after he held a campaign rally in North Carolina on April 9 wherein he publicly endorsed Dr. Oz, according to The Independent.

Trump’s speech was the second time he alluded to Dr. Oz giving him advice on his weight. In 2016, the former president appeared on Dr. Oz’s show to discuss his weight. During the appearance, the doctor noted that Trump’s body mass index was high for his stature.

"It's probably close to 30 which is sort of the barrier for most people," Oz said.

A person with a BMI of 30 or over is considered obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In response, Trump said he wanted to lose between 15 to 20 pounds, but said he found it difficult to do because of the “way I live.”

The former president does not drink coffee or alcohol. However, he has famously unhealthy eating habits. Trump is known to be a big fan of McDonald's and Coca-Cola. According to Corey Lewandowski, former campaign manager and author of "Let Trump Be Trump," the ex-POTUS' go-to meal would be “a full McDonald’s dinner of two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a small chocolate shake – a total of 2,430 calories.”

In 2017, The New York Times also reported on Trump’s love for Diet Coke, noting that he can down approximately a dozen of the drink each day.
