Trump toys with rejoining 2012 race
If the GOP field isn't quite up to snuff in the following months, Donald Trump might be faced with no other option than to change his mind about running for the 2012 Republican nomination, NBC New York reports.
After all, he said in an interview Monday with Fox News, stranger things have happened.
After expressing dissatisfaction with the Republicans who have already announced they will be running --- Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, to name a few - the real estate mogul confirmed he hasn't completely nixed the idea of getting back into the race. Because, frankly, none of them make the cut, he said.
The ones that have announced, I just don't see it, Trump said. At this point in time, they're not going to be beating Obama.
And with that mindset, he won't rule out jumping back into the ring.
I can't rule out anything, he said. It's vital that we choose the right person, and at this moment, I don't see that person.
