President Donald Trump blasted Iran's president after being warned of the “mother of all wars” if the United States acts aggressively toward his country. Trump's response, in all caps, on Twitter was trolled by several social media users.

Trump threatened President Hassan Rouhani saying: “NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN,” or he will “SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE.”

Trump's tweet came after Rouhani said earlier Sunday that pursuing hostilities against his country could lead to regrets for the U.S.

“Mr Trump, don’t play with the lion’s tail, this would only lead to regret,” he told a gathering of Iranian diplomats, according to the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency. “America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars.

“You are not in a position to incite the Iranian nation against Iran’s security and interests,” Rouhani added.

Just minutes after Trump's response came, a Twitter user trolled the president for his all-caps threat.

One user wrote: "To McDonalds drive through worker: NEVER, EVER PUT MUSTARD ON MY BIG MAC AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED MISHANDLING OF MY ORDER. BE CAUTIOUS!"

Iran is facing increased U.S. pressure after Trump decided to withdraw from a nuclear deal that had been worked out under the Obama administration.

On Sunday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was also mentioned the topic of Iran while speaking at a Reagan Forum in Simi Valley, California. He slammed the country for corruption and human rights abuses. While he was blasting Iran, Pompeo was heckled by a protester, who shouted about the Trump administration "kidnapping children."

To this Pompeo immediately said, "If there were only so much freedom of expression in Iran," after which he was cheered by the crowd.
