President Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden are facing off in the battle for the White House, as polls begin to close Tuesday across the U.S.

Biden has the early lead, 119-93, with several crucial battlegrounds yet to report.

Polls in over 20 states have closed, including those in many key swing states such as Florida, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, and the all-important battleground Pennsylvania.

As each candidate seeks to reach 270 electoral votes, the number necessary to win the presidency, the race will come down to about eight swing states.

Many have already begun tallying votes. As of 9:20 p.m. ET, here is how the race stacks up.
