Trump's Campaign Manager Accuses Hillary Clinton Of Lying About Concession Call
President Donald Trump's campaign manager Brad Parscale has accused Hillary Clinton of lying about the concession call she made to Trump after she lost the 2016 election.
Clinton told Stern Show host Howard Stern that President Trump was shocked and could barely speak after she gave him a concession call back in 2016.
Stern had asked Clinton how she felt when Trump won the 2016 election, to which she replied, “Obviously I was crushed, I was disappointed and I was really surprised because I couldn’t figure out what had happened.”
"I said to myself... 'Look, I hope he's going to be a better president than I think he will be. I'm worried about it but I'm going to do everything I can,' as I told him when I called him on that terrible night," she added.
A surprised Stern asked her whether she had given Trump a concession call that night and Clinton said yes.
"I said, 'Look, Donald, I want you to be a good president. I will do whatever I can to help you,'" Clinton responded. "He was so shocked... he could barely talk!. He was more shocked than me, I think."
However, Parscale, who was the Digital Media Director for the Trump campaign in 2016, accused the former secretary of state of lying about Trump being shocked.
Using the hashtag '#MoreLiesFromHillary' on Twitter, Parscale said that Trump was gracious during the call.
“I was standing right next to him during the call,” Parscale said. “ @realDonaldTrump was gracious and excited about bringing the country together.”
In the show, Clinton said that she ran for president because she loves the country and wanted to serve it. She told Stern that Trump’s inauguration day was one of the hardest in her life and that she attended it because she felt a "sense of duty" to join the other former presidents and first ladies.
