“Dance Moms” viewers were shocked to see Melissa Gisoni lash out at her daughter’s longtime coach, co-star and off-screen friend Abby Lee Miller in the Season 6 trailer. While some viewers called her outburst against Abby the work of editing, Lifetime has now revealed there will definitely be a feud between Abby and the dance mom in the forthcoming installment.

Lifetime has revealed that in Season 6, episode 2, Abby will lash out at Melissa’s 11-year-old daughter Mackenzie Ziegler. This, of course, will not sit well with the dance mom, who is also mother to Abby’s star pupil, Maddie Ziegler, 13. “When Mackenzie receives the brunt of Abby’s rage, Melissa vows not to play nice anymore,” the synopsis for “Abby vs. Melissa” reveals.

Abby and Melissa's suspected feud came to light Sunday with the release of the "Dance Moms" trailer. “I’m gonna punch her in the face!” Melissa yells in the teaser, and she’s seen wiping tears from her eyes. A later scene features Melissa saying, “I just want you to care about her like you used to Abby,” as flashes of Maddie, 13, are shown onscreen. While Maddie is not shown upset in the trailer — to be fair, she was absent from most Season 6 competitions — Mackenzie is shown crying and getting consoled by her teammate Kalani Hilliker.

“She doesn’t want to mess with me right now,” Melissa says in a second preview. “I know so much stuff.”

Lifetime’s summary for episode 2 doesn’t state what will cause Abby to lash out at Mackenzie, but the synopsis does reveal that the moms will learn about the coach's legal problems in the installment. The network also teases that the moms will be “surprised when news breaks that Abby could be facing jail time.”

As most “Dance Moms” fans are aware, Miller was indicted on several counts of bankruptcy fraud, concealment of bankruptcy assets and false bankruptcy declarations in October. She pleaded not guilty in court Nov. 2.

“Dance Moms” Season 6 premieres on Lifetime Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at 9 p.m. EST. Episode 2 will follow Jan. 12.
