Truth About Angelina Jolie Reigniting Feud With Brad Pitt In Divorce Settlement
A new report claimed Monday that Angelina Jolie was reigniting her feud with Brad Pitt in the final divorce settlement by declaring their French property, Chateau Miraval. However, the Radar Online report cannot be confirmed.
“Ange has been back in France recently and made a pilgrimage to the chateau and its winery – which she still shares with Brad,” a source told Radar Online. “They did have a gentleman’s agreement that they’d share it, since it is a lucrative business enterprise, but when Angie returned to the property, she realized how much she loves it – and how much it would drive Brad crazy if she took it from him.”
The source added that as Pitt loved the chateau, he will make it difficult for Jolie to win the ownership of the place. They bought the 1,000-acre wine estate for $60 million from American businessman Tom Bove.
“Brad loves that place and is very proud of his status as a winemaker, and knows Angie would probably just sell it, or worse, demolish it, just to be nasty,” the source said, adding that Pitt has his team of lawyers ready for the fight. “He will fight to the end to make sure he gets to keep his Chateau," the source said.
Jolie has an estimated net worth of $278 million, while Pitt has $417 million.
It’s been almost three years since the “Maleficent” actress filed for divorce and the exes are still working on finalizing it.
Most recently, there were reports that Pitt and Jolie are not letting their divorce affect the children. Jolie reportedly reached out to her ex-husband and asked him to look after their six children as she would be away filming her movie “Those Who Wish Me Dead.”
“Angelina is going to be spending a lot of the summer filming ‘Those Who Wish Me Dead’, so she reached out to Brad and offered him the chance to look after the children. This is a massive step for them and the children, who have only had limited time with Brad since the break-up,” a source told the Sun.
However, despite the divorce not being finalized, it cannot be confirmed that the delay was being caused due to their $631 million shared properties. The ex-couple has not addressed these rumors publicly and thus, it cannot be independently verified.
