Jennifer Garner isn’t the only one who has found love after finalizing her divorce with Ben Affleck. The “Batman” star has reportedly been in touch with his ex-girlfriend Lindsay Shookus following their split in 2018.

Affleck entered rehab last year to seek treatment for his alcohol addiction. Prior to that, the 46-year-old dated Shookus until being on opposite coasts created problems in their romance and caused them to end the relationship.

However, a source told People Affleck and Shookus have managed to strike up a friendship. “He really enjoys spending time with her but his focus will remain his kids and family,” the insider shared.

Although it appears Affleck is hoping the two will eventually get back together, insiders aren’t confident the relationship will work. “I think he’s always been interested in seeing where his relationship with Lindsay could go, but these are two people who are very focused on their families and that distance between New York and L.A. is difficult sometimes.”

Affleck and Shookus first went public in July 2017, but the two amicably split almost a year later. Following his stint in rehab, Affleck addressed his treatment and thanked those who supported him through the difficult time in his life.

“Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family,” he said in a statement.
