Are George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, headed for a $500 million divorce and fierce custody battle over their children? This is what a new tabloid report has claimed, but there is no proof backing this up.

Life & Style's latest report claimed that the Clooneys' marriage is on the rocks four and a half years after they tied the knot in a dreamy Italian wedding. According to the tabloid's unnamed source, Clooney and his wife Amal have been fighting over their twins, Ella and Alexander, fame and clashing personalities behind closed doors. Clooney has reportedly even told his wife that he wants to end their marriage.

“These two look great together, but they were never a great match," the questionable tipster claimed. "Pretty quickly after Ella and Alexander’s birth, they began to fight about how and where to raise the kids. George wants to be back in LA full time while Amal prefers Europe.”

Life & Style's source further speculated that Clooney has been finding it hard to leave behind his "old bachelor ways." Amal, according to the so-called insider, has accused him of being "selfish and fame-hungry," and George retorted that she was "spoiled and stuck-up."

The report went on to claim that the Clooneys have even sought out marriage counseling, but it apparently only made the situation worse. The source alleged that Amal may "play dirty" if George ends up divorcing her, claiming that she will target the actor's $500 million fortune.

However, there is absolutely no truth to the report, which also provided no proof to support its claims. The bogus story claimed that the two have been "living separate lives" and haven't been spotted together since December. However, George and Amal were just photographed together last week attending Jennifer Aniston's star-studded birthday bash.

In photos released by Daily Mail, Clooney and his human rights lawyer wife looked as happy and in love as ever as they exited the Sunset Tower hotel arm-in-arm. The loved-up pair even cuddled and shared a giggle inside their ride after the party.

Earlier this month, the Clooneys were also spotted enjoying a romantic date night together at the same hotel.

This wouldn't be the first time that Life & Style has published bogus reports about the couple. Last year, the same tabloid claimed that Amal was leaving her husband on their fourth wedding anniversary, but the couple's relationship is still going strong to date.
