The Truth About George And Amal Clooney's Marriage Amid Divorce Rumors

George Clooney and his wife Amal are very much still together and committed to their marriage, Gossip Cop reported Wednesday after a report claimed the couple is heading towards a “$1 billion divorce.”

The tabloid that published the “bogus” story featured Amal with one of their children, with a caption: “Amal walks out with twins.” The photo was reportedly taken when Amal and George jointly boarded a private jet in Italy earlier this month.

While the article did not give out any details about the rumored divorce, it claimed Amal was “imploring” George to “take his responsibilities as a family man more seriously” in the wake of his motorcycle accident, and has “threatened to leave him in the dust if he doesn’t.” The report, which cited a source, said: “Amal is fed up and they’ve been fighting constantly.”

“Amal is pretty clear about what she expects from George as a father and a husband. [She’s] privately consulted a lawyer. And she’s prepared to leave him for good to make her point,” another source was quoted by the tabloid.

However, Amal and George's divorce rumors are completely false as People magazine reported the lawyer “wouldn’t leave George’s side” in the aftermath of the accident.

Earlier this month, George was injured in an accident after the bike he was riding collided with a car in Mediterranean island of Sardinia. He was in Sardinia to direct a TV series called "Catch 22." The incident was caught on camera showing George being thrown over the top of his scooter after he was hit by a Mercedes.

In an Entertainment Tonight story last week about how George is “taking it easy,” it was specifically noted he is “the love of her (Amal) life,” and she intends to be with him “for the long haul.”

Just days before George's accident, Gossip Cop debunked another rumor about the actor's marriage trouble. The report alleged George and Amal's marriage was in crisis as the duo was fighting over having more kids.

Last year in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Amal was asked if she wanted more kids, but she shook her head and said, “I’m 39. I already had them quite late.” George and Amal are parents to daughter Ella, and son, Alexander.
