Truth About George Clooney Playing 'Peacemaker' In Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Divorce

George Clooney is playing "peacemaker" in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce drama, a new report claimed. However, Gossip Cop debunked the Grazia magazine story, calling it "untrue."

According to Grazia, Clooney is getting involved to reduce tensions between the estranged couple.

“George has secretly kept in close contact with Brad throughout this ordeal. In recent weeks, however, he has reached out to Angelina personally in the hope that he could talk some sense into her," an unreliable source told the magazine. Clooney told Jolie to “do the right thing and get her legal team to settle the divorce amicably without any further mud-slinging.”

“George is closer to Brad, but he cares about both of them and will do anything to make things right. So far it seems to be falling on deaf ears, as Ange is still adamant about fighting this now that she has a new legal team by her side," the source added. “George is hoping that he can get Ange to see the light, and she and Brad can reach an amicable agreement that suits both of them — and the kids.”

However, the rumors are untrue as Clooney is not getting involved in any way in the ongoing dispute.

Pitt and Jolie got together in July 2005, four months after Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce. They reportedly got engaged in April 2012 and got married in August 2014. In August 2016, Jolie announced she filed for divorce from Pitt, citing irreconcilable differences.

Clooney reacted to the split after the announcement was made, saying: “That’s a sad story and unfortunate for a family. It’s an unfortunate story about a family. I feel very sorry to hear that.”

This is not the first time rumors have surfaced regarding Clooney's involvement in the divorce drama.

Last month, Celebrity Insider reported that George and Amal Clooney were taking Pitt's side and this was making Jolie very "furious." However, this rumor was also shot down by Gossip Cop, which called the claims completely false.
