Is Jennifer Lopez dumping Alex Rodriguez for keeping in touch with one of his exes? This is what an old tabloid report claimed about the couple, but Lopez and A-Rod's relationship is still going strong, proving the rumor wrong.

In Touch put out a report last year claiming that Lopez had contemplated breaking things off with Rodriguez after she reportedly found out that he was keeping in touch with his ex-girlfriend, fitness model Lauren Hunter. The tabloid claimed that Lopez and Rodriguez had been planning to get engaged and tie the knot, but Lopez reportedly thought twice about staying with Rodriguez. She reportedly believed that him texting Hunter behind her back counted as "cheating."

But as fans would know, even by just looking at Lopez's Instagram, the couple remains happy and seems to be more in love than ever.

Back in 2017, Hunter claimed to the National Enquirer that the former pro baseball player was cheating on the singer-actress with her. Rodriguez himself slammed her claims, and a close pal of Lopez told Gossip Cop at the time that she didn't believe Hunter's allegations.

Another insider told Gossip Cop that the fitness model wanted to extort money from Rodriguez prior to going to the press with allegations of an affair. However, the same source confirmed neither Lopez nor her boyfriend were affected by the cheating rumors.

Lopez herself seemed to shut down the cheating and breakup rumors earlier this week when she and Rodriguez shared numerous photos and videos from the Grammys 2019, which they attended together. One of the former athlete's posts showed him giving Lopez a sweet kiss following her energetic Grammys 2019 performance.

Meanwhile, one of Lopez's photos earlier this week showed her and Rodriguez sitting on the bed, and she seemed to imply in her caption that they spent the night in instead of attending afterparties.

This isn't the first time that tabloids have published false stories about Lopez and Rodriguez. In August last year, In Touch also claimed that the couple was tying the knot and considering having a child together. But while Lopez and Rodriguez's relationship is going strong, the two have not yet confirmed any engagement or wedding plans.
