Truth About Justin Timberlake 'Spoiling' Jessica Biel For Being An ‘Absentee Dad’

Justin Timberlake was not spoiling his wife Jessica Biel with expensive gifts because he was guilty of being less involved in their son’s life, despite rumors, which were debunked by Gossip Cop on Sunday.

The claim was put forth by OK! Magazine, which quoted an anonymous source who stressed Timberlake “spent a fortune on [Biel] over the last year… mostly on jewelry, including custom pieces.” According to the magazine, the singer’s “spending spree” was not “just a random act of kindness.”

“He’s been so busy on tour and working on new music while Jess is taking care of Silas, 3, so there’s some guilt on his part that he hasn’t been 100 percent involved,” the anonymous source told the magazine.

As Gossip Cop pointed out, the claims by the magazine were false for many reasons, one of them being that no real person would mention the age of Timberlake’s son in such a sentence.

Also, another obvious point which showed the claims were false was that Biel and Silas were traveling with Timberlake on tour — widely documented on social media and interviews — which made it clear the singer was spending time with his son.

“It is fun to be the road. You feel kind of, like, a wild group of gypsies and you’re all in it together,” Biel, 36, said during in an interview on Today show in August. “You’re seeing so many new places and I think it’s amazing for our son because he’s hearing new languages, we’re talking about different countries, the names of different countries, what he likes, what he’s seen. Now he knows what the Eiffel Tower is and it’s something that he really loves. He would never have these experiences if we weren’t able to just get out there and go for it. I’m very, very grateful.”

Yet another fact which pointed at the falsehood of the claims was Ok! Magazine quoted an anonymous, unverified source.

The alleged insider went on to talk about how Timberlake and Biel were “more in love than ever,” even though he was being a bit of an absentee dad. But as Gossip Cop noted, the magazine itself had earlier claimed Timberlake and Biel were getting a “$300 million divorce” in a cover story last year. The magazine also failed to mention an earlier report it published about Biel being allegedly pregnant with a second child. Gossip Cop debunked both the reports.

The claims this time was similarly false. On Father’s day, Biel even praised Timberlake on Instagram and said “awe every day as he guides and teaches, encourages and supports, and above all, LOVES the [expletive], out of his own young man,” which proves Timberlake was very much involved in Silas’s life.
