Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s Oscars 2019 performance has been a hotly talked about issue, with many people suggesting that they are in love. However, a new rumor suggested that the singer actually asked the “A Star Is Born” director to marry her after splitting from Christian Carino.

As previously reported, Gaga has already confirmed in a recent interview that there is nothing going on between her and Cooper. She said that the Oscars performance was a pre-planned act that she and her director performed for the fans. However, a recent tabloid report suggested otherwise.

Citing an anonymous “source,” a recent tabloid story stated that Gaga followed her heart and asked Cooper to marry her. The actor-director was reportedly “stunned” by her proposal, according to the insider, and chose to reject her.

This source reportedly said that Cooper has deep feelings for Gaga, but he felt that this was not the right time for them to be together. But the singer reportedly felt that the rejection made their relationship stronger because “now everything is out in the open.”

The tabloid report stated that Gaga’s ex, Carino, isn’t aware of the proposal, but the insider claimed that he suspected that Cooper is the singer’s “true love.” The “source” felt that Carino would be “devastated” if he found out about the marriage proposal. The insider felt that Cooper and Gaga are “destined to be together,” despite the claim that the director rejected the marriage proposal.

But the truth is that this is only a fake rumor about the singer and the director. Gossip Cop has debunked this tabloid story and reached out to Cooper’s spokesperson, who confirmed that there was no marriage proposal.

Not only has Lady Gaga already dismissed speculations about her relationship with Cooper, but she also took to Instagram to call the “A Star Is Born” director “a true friend.” The two have been promoting their film, which has landed the singer her first Oscar win.

Gaga and Cooper's Oscars performance continues to be a big hit that even celebrities have commented on. “Captain Marvel” stars Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson recently parodied that performance while they were guests on "The Jonathan Ross Show."
