The Truth About One Direction’s Reunion Amid Rumored Feud With Zayn Malik

Zayn Malik may not be on the best terms with the members of One Direction, but his recent interview with British Vogue hasn’t affected the way Harry Styles feels about getting the band back together for a reunion.

Since Malik, who professionally goes by Zayn, left the band in March 2015, he has done several interviews in which he confirmed he never had close relationships with Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne. A new report alleges his latest similar comments may have ruined any chance of the band reuniting following their hiatus.

Hollywood Life published an article sharing fabricated details obtained from “a source close to Harry.” The alleged confidant claimed the “Sign of the Times” singer was no longer interested in getting back together with 1D after seeing the comments Zayn made in his interview.

“Harry is super grateful for everything One Direction has done to change his life and he has always been open to getting the guys back together one day, but after hearing about Zayn’s latest interview he has serious doubts that would ever happen,” the alleged source said.

The supposed insider went on to claim, “Harry feels bad over Zayn’s words about how things fell apart between them and is disappointed about it all, but they were never really close friends, so his recent words do not come as a big shock to him.”

However, Gossip Cop reached out to Style’s rep, who revealed Hollywood Life was told the accusations made by the source were false. The fact-checking website noted that the publication still published the story and failed to mention the spokesperson already denied there was any truth to the claim.

When Zayn sat down to chat for the December issue of British Vogue, he once again revealed he never formed a bond with his group members, particularly Styles, and hinted there was still some bad blood between them. “I ain’t spoke to any of them for a long time, to be honest with you. That’s just the way it is. There’s things that happen and things that were said after I left... Snide things. Small things that I would never have expected.”

Although Zayn didn’t develop a relationship with the members of One Direction, his comments have not influenced Styles’ decision when it comes to his future with the band.
