Prince Harry and Meghan Markle allegedly didn’t bring their son, Archie, to the United Kingdom due to the deadly coronavirus outbreak. There are also claims that the royal couple didn’t want to mess up their 10-month-old son’s routine.
A royal insider told Closer Weekly that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t want to leave Archie behind when they traveled to London this week but they were left with no other choice. However, since the couple’s schedule is quite hectic, they know that they won’t also be able to spend time with their son.
The insider went on to say that Queen Elizabeth is sad over the fact that she has not seen Archie in so long. Her Majesty also misses Prince Harry and the last thing she wants is for her grandson to feel alienated from the royal family.
Even though the claims made of the unknown royal insider make a whole lot of sense, they should still be taken with a grain of salt. After all, the publication was unable to reveal the name of their so-called source.
Last week, Princess Diana’s former royal protection officer, Ken Wharfe, told New Idea that Archie is a great security risk so leaving him in Canada is what’s best.
“There’s no doubt Harry and Meghan are concerned about his safety. There are security risks anyway as two people and once you’ve got children on board, it becomes an added risk,” he said.
Wharfe also said that even though Prince Harry and Markle are no longer considered as senior members of the royal family, they will continue to be protected all their life. And the same thing will happen to their son.
While in Canada, Wharfe said that it is highly likely that Archie has his own nanny and nursery. It is also unlikely for him to go anywhere else because of the possible security risks, which have become greater now that they’re living like ordinary citizens.
