The Truth About Why Lindsay Shookus Took Ben Affleck Back

Ben Affleck’s struggles with alcohol are no secret as the actor has received professional help for his addiction. Since he has completed his rehab and gotten sober, former girlfriend Lindsay Shookus has taken Affleck back, and the pair are very much together again.

For Shookus, getting back together with Affleck was a result of him taking the necessary steps to get help for his alcohol abuse as a Us Weekly source said, “she was impressed that he’d gone back to rehab and was sober.”

Shookus, who is a “Saturday Night Live” producer, dated Affleck for more than a year before the couple ended their relationship in August. During this time, Affleck entered a 40-day alcohol program to get the help he needed for his alcoholism.

However, Shookus didn’t give up on Affleck as she contacted the actor and began talking to him regularly which sparked their relationship once again, which a Us Weekly source said, “They’ve been talking and have seen each other again. Ben is in a much better place health-wise, and is a lot happier.”

Affleck and Shookus have been able to rekindle what they once had as they have “picked up right where they left off” and are “very comfortable together” as well as being “happy,” according to another source for the news outlet.
