Tumblr Down Friday
The social blogging site Tumblr, which is home to hipsters, aspiring photographers, and bloggers alike is down as of Friday morning. The site is experiencing technical troubles according to the error message that displays when users attempt to log on.
“We’re sorry,” reads Tumblr’s vague error message. “Service is temporarily unavailable. Our engineers are working quickly to resolve the issue.”
Little information has been made available by the website. A link urging users to “Find out why you may have encountered this error,” leads to the same error page on the Tumblr site.
With their website unavailable, Tumblr took to their Twitter to let users know what was going on.
“Tumblr is experiencing network problems following an issue with one of our uplink providers,” the blog site tweeted at 9:44 am on Friday. “We will return to full service shortly.”

There have been no further updates on the issues plaguing Tumblr and its users.
Tumblr first launched in 2007, and current boasts over 77 million blogs on their social blogging platform. CNN claims that Alexa places Tumblr as the 36th most popular site on the internet and 19th most visited in the United States, being most popular with younger Internet users.
