Legendary artiste Tupac Shakur may go out on a virtual tour after the late rapper put out an electrifying hologram performance at the Coachella festival in California Sunday night, the Wall Street Journal said.

Audiences at the festival were left stunned when a ghostly image of Tupac took to the stage alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, the rappers who helped create the hologram of Tupac.

The rapper, who's been dead for over fifteen years, is said to have resurrected thanks to the technical ingenuity of special effects company Digital Domain and AV Concepts for projection technicalities.

We worked with Dr. Dre on this, and it was Dre's vision to bring this back to life, AV Concepts president Nick Smith told MTV News. It was his idea from the very beginning and we worked with him and his camp to utilize the technology to make it come to life.

With Tupac's mind blowing performance becoming an instant hit worldwide, Dogg and Dre are into the possibility of a virtual tour in the coming months, WSJ cited an unnamed source as saying.

The publication pointed out two possible options for the tour: One would be to tour in stadia and will feature a powerful line-up of hip-hop and rap stars, including Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa. The other option would be a limited tour that would involve Snoop and Dre performing with the virtual Tupac.

Dr. Dre and Snoop had not commented on these reports, the publication said.
