Tuscaloosa Shooting Leaves 17 People Injured, Video Shows Alleged Gunman With Assault Rifle
Tuscaloosa, Ala., police reported 17 people were injured during a shooting at a downtown bar.
According to reports, the incident took place after 1 a.m. local time on Tuesday morning at Copper Top Bar at fourth and 23rd streets.
City police Sgt. Brent Blakley told the Associated Press that a man outside of the bar fired multiple shots inside the Tuscaloosa establishment, leaving one victim in critical condition and three others in serious condition at DCH Regional Medical Center.
While the identity and number of shooters is still unknown, photos and video of the suspected shooter have been released. In the video, the gunman appears to be walking the streets of downtown Tuscaloosa with an assault rifle. Police describe him as the suspect in the shootings.
Police were still processing the scene Tuesday morning and declined to release more details until a press conference scheduled for 10 a.m. central time.
