It’s that time of the year again. As the weather gets nicer, your favorite TV shows wrap up for the season. Check out 21 season finale episode descriptions for your favorite dramas and comedies as they wind down:
1. “The Following”
Finale Air Date: April 28 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox
Season 2 of the jaw dropping Fox drama will come to a close with Mark and Luke turning the tables. Their actions will force Ryan and Joe to put their difference aside in order to save Claire from the lunatic twins.
2. “Resurrection”
Finale Air Date: May 4 at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC
All hell breaks loose in the town of Arcadia when the “return of the deceased reaches a critical mass.” Sheriff Fred’s own agenda is exposed when Bellamy is forced to ask for outside aid.
3. “2 Broke Girls”
Finale Air Date: May 5 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS
The Season 3 finale of “2 Broke Girls” will find Caroline reconnecting with her estranged mother while helping Max get her high school diploma.
4. “The Tomorrow People”
Finale Air Date: May 5 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW
After realizing that his alliance with The Founder was a mistake, Russell tries to rectify the situation by saving Cara from Ultra. Meanwhile the Season 1 finale will find Stephen discovering that it is up to him to stop “The Machine and the extermination of humanity.”
5. “Bates Motel”
Finale Air Date: May 5 at 10 p.m. EDT on A&E
Season 2 of the hit A&E series concludes with Norman remembering a tragic event from his past; and Romero and Dylan teaming up to end the drug war.
6. “New Girl”
Finale Air Date: May 6 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox
Despite their break up, Nick and Jess are forced to go on a cruise that they booked while still together. But in order to make things less awkward, the pair invites the gang along. Kerri Kenney of “Reno 911” and Oscar Nunez of “The Office” will guest star.
7.“The Mindy Project”
Finale Air Date: May 6 at 9:30 p.m. EDT on Fox
Season 2 of “The Mindy Project” will end with a surprising reveal when Mindy discovers “the man of her dreams after he writes a description of their encounter in a New York newspaper.”
8. “Criminal Minds”
Finale Air Date: May 7 and May 14 at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS
The ninth season finale of “Criminal Minds” will be split in two, with part 1 airing on May 7. The episode, “Angels,” will find the BAU consulting on the murders of prostitutes in Texas that feature “religious overtones.” But the investigation will put all their lives at risk.
9. “CSI: Las Vegas”
Finale Air Date: May 7 at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS
“Dead In His Tracks” will end season 14 of the crime drama. The CSI team will be investigating a present-day crime that is linked to a mob heist that occurred 25 years ago. The finale will also find Brass making a decision when “his daughter attempts suicide.”
10. “Two and a Half Men”
Finale Air Date: May 8 at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS
Season 11 of the CBS comedy will end with more problems for Alan when he confesses his true identity to Larry. Fans can look forward to seeing the return of Kimberly Williams-Paisley, along with her real –life husband Brad Paisley.
11. “Surviving Jack”
Finale Air Date: May 8 at 9:30 p.m. on Fox
Season 1 of Fox’s new comedy ends with Jack and Joanne at odds when their kids betray their trust.
12. Hawaii Five-0”
Finale Air Date: May 9 at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS
Season 4 of “Hawaii Five-0” will conclude with episode 22, “O ka Pili ‘Ohana ka ‘Oi” – or “Family Comes First.” The finale will find Grover’s daughter kidnapped by an “old nemesis,” forcing him to help steal “$100 million in order to get her back.” Fans can also look forward to seeing Wo Fat returning to Oahu after escaping prison.
Nick Jonas will be returning as a guest star.
13. “Bones”
Finale Air Date: May 12 at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox
Season 9 of “Bones” wraps up with the team investigating “the death of a nab who had offered Booth information on a possible government cover-up related to the previous case.” Booth gets in over his head, putting his future with the FBI at risk.
14. “Glee”
Finale Air Date: May 13 at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox
Season 5 ends with Rachel meeting a famous television writer, and Blaine’s “big showcase” with June Dolloway (guest star Shirley MacLaine). Meanwhiel Sam and Mercede’s relationship will be put to the test when their careers take off.
15. “Kitchen Nightmares”
Finale Air Date: May 16 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox
Chef Ramsay will attempt to save Bella Luna, a failing Italian restaurant in Easton, PA.
16. “Bob’s Burgers”
Finale Air Date: May 18 at 7 p.m. EDT on Fox
When Felix puts Bob and Mr. Fischoeder in danger it’s up to Linda and the kids to rescue them.
17. “American Dad”
Finale Air Date: May 18 at 7:30 p.m. EDT on Fox
Hayley begins to move on from a missing Jeff with a millionaire named Matt. But Steve and Snot discover that Jeff’s alive and trying to return to Hayley.
18. “The Simpsons”
Finale Air Date: May 18 at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox
Bart feels guilty after winning the annual “last day of school” race when he enlists Nelson’s help in beating up Milhouse. Meanwhile, “Homer tries to bring back the annual 4th of July fireworks display after it’s canceled for budget reasons.
19. “Family Guy”
Finale Air Date: May 18 at 8:30 p.m. EDT on Fox
Stewie goes back in time to break up Peter and Lois after Peter and Chris interrupt his TV time. But Stewie’s becomes shocked when his time change results in him being reborn into a “’Downton Abbey’-esque British household.”
20. “American Idol”
Finale Air Date: May 21 at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox
America will finally find out who the new winner is when the Top 13 contestants reunite one last time.
21. “The Americans”
Finale Air Date: May 21 at 10 p.m. EDT on FX
Episode 13 will close out Season 2 of “The Americans.” The episode, “Echo,” will find Philip and Elizabeth attempting to keep their children safe by evacuating them. However “no one is safe” as they try to complete their mission. Meanwhile, Stan will be holding Nina’s future in her hands.
