‘Twilight’ Star Nikki Reed And ‘American Idol’ Husband: New Music Video And New Dog [VIDEO]
Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald seem to be really enjoying married life. The newlyweds displayed their new music video this week and welcomed a new member to their family...a German shepherd.
The Twilight actress and her American Idol alum husband collaborated on a song in late 2011 called Now That I've Found You. The musically talented duo just released the official music video for the song this week. According to MTV, Reed played a big part in her hubby's new video, co-directing, starring and singing in it.
Now That I've Found You highlights the couple's blooming relationship and their whirl-wind romance. MTV discussed the song and working on the video with the entertainers. According to McDonald, Nikki has a great voice, and listeners definitely noticed in the song. When we were on the way back from France, this song kind of happened on the plane, said McDonald. We just got together and wrote it.
I wanted it to be simple and sweet and tell the story of two people and have it be more about the atmosphere, Reed told MTV about the music video. I don't know if you notice, but there's a very special choice in there with cuts and specific shots that are partial and you can only see parts of our mouths and hands. I don't want to dwell on the shots of us for too long.
The video only seems to have brought the pair closer. She's really good to work with, said McDonald of his lady love. It all just kind of fell into place. She didn't boss me around too much.
Reed and McDonald also had an additional member of their family in the video. Enzo, their German shepherd is featured in the shots, but if the couple decides to shoot another video in the future it looks like the cast will be growing by one more.
According to People, Reed and McDonald recently adopted a new German shepherd for Enzo to play with. Reed shared a picture on WhoSay of her dogs with the caption, The newest addition to our family! Enzo has waited such a long time for this!
