Kate Middleton and Prince William's only daughter gave some royal fans a "Princess Anne" vibe.
Prince Louis stole the show when the royals stood on the balcony and watched flypast with his animated facial reactions and almost non-stop waving. The youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge seemingly loved to wave to the crowd, but his older sister had enough of it.
A video of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Middleton and her three kids — Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4 — from the carriage procession was shared online. In the footage, both Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis waved until the former stopped, but the latter continued to wave his hand.
Princess Charlotte took her younger brother's hand and put it on his lap. But after a few seconds, Prince Louis waved again.
Many found the clip adorable and hilarious at the same time. Many said Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were like the typical siblings, and some said they saw Princess Anne in the little princess. Others joked that they could see Princess Charlotte bossing her two brothers around.
"I clocked that … absolutely hilarious. Charlotte's definitely the next Anne," one commented.
"We need another Anne for the next generation… she'll keep everyone on their toes," another added with multiple laughing emojis.
"I can see her already bossying [sic] her brothers around," a third royal fan wrote with laughing and red heart emojis. Another commented, "She's the boss," with a face with tears of joy emoji.
Princess Anne is known for her strong personality, which she may have inherited from her late father, Prince Philip, according to L'Officiel. The same can be said about Prince William and Middleton's only daughter.
"[Charlotte is] definitely the biggest character of the three children at the moment," one anonymous source told Us Weekly in 2018. "She'll come up to guests and ask them if they want tea or coffee or offer them sweets—so adorable!"
Due to that, Princess Charlotte "isn't the average spare heir." The 7-year-old royal has already distinguished herself as a "smart, spirited" girl. She also has a "congenial but relatable" personality.
Queen Elizabeth also shared how Princess Charlotte looked after her older brother Prince George.
In 2018, the Queen chatted with 10-year-old student Emily Clay, who won a bible signed by the monarch for a school religious education project. Her Majesty asked the girl if she looked after her 6-year-old sister.
"It's the other way around," Emily's mom, Ellen, told the Queen.
"It's like that with Charlotte and George," the monarch replied.
