- Some netizens said Ivanka should not become a senator in Florida
- Ivanka clarified her deleted tweet about protesters saying peaceful protest is patriotic
Several online users told Ivanka Trump to give up her political dreams after her controversial tweet about the protesters.
In a now-deleted tweet, the first daughter called the rioters "American patriots" and this irked the netizens. Several of them disagreed and showed no interest in supporting Ivanka on her rumored plans to run for senate. Many of them advised her to give up her political ambitions.
"You can kiss you political ambitions goodbye along with your idiot brothers. @GeorgeTakei @IvankaTrump," one commented.
"@IvankaTrump your dad just took away any chance at a political career for. Pity," another wrote.
"Are you watching your political dreams slip away? We are!!!" another stated.
"The Trump political dynasty should start and end with Donald Trump. @IvankaTrump cannot and should not become a Senator in Florida or anywhere," a fourth user added.
"Dad blew any chance for you to ever be elected to any significant position in a political office. Go back to NY...OH WAIT THEY HATE YOU THERE," a fifth netizen wrote.
"There is NO REPAIR for the Trump family, no 2024 run by Donald Trump, no political office for any of them. Any political ambition of Donald Jr. or Ivanka is NOW GONE. Into the ignominy of history, as will be the actions of their father. It’s been, and still is #AmericaOrTrump," another shared.
"@IvankaTrump and @DonaldJTrumpJr, your father pretty much flushed your political aspirations down the drain today. He couldn't even ask terrorists to stop without focusing on his grievances first," a different user added
In her deleted tweet, Ivanka wrote, "American Patriots - any breach or disrespect to our law enforcement is unacceptable. The violence must stop immediately. Please be peaceful." In a separate post, she explained her deleted tweet when CNN's Kate Bennett asked her to clarify her move to call the protesters "patriots."
"No. Peaceful protest is patriotic. Violence is unacceptable and must be condemned in the strongest terms," Ivanka responded.
In December, there were rumors that Ivanka Trump will be running for senate after reports that she purchased a lot at the Indian Creek Island also known as "Bunker's Billionaire." Ivanka's move to Florida was allegedly for "potential political opportunities."
"Ivanka definitely has political ambitions, no question about it. She wants to run for something, but that still needs to be figured out," an unnamed source said.
Twitter users have mixed opinions on Ivanka's alleged plans to run for senate. Some of them expressed support for the first daughter to get rid of Marco Rubio.
"I will vote Against Rubio in the 2022 closed Republican primary for United States Senator from #Florida, even if it means voting ‘for’ Ivanka Trump," one tweeted.
"Sad to say, I can totally see Roger and Ivanka as the senators from Florida," another added
