  • Barack Obama slammed for criticizing the conservatives and calling the Republicans the minority
  • Twitter users agreed that Obama was boring and claimed he only wanted attention
  • Several netizens supported Obama and stressed that he was never boring

Barack Obama is taking the heat on Twitter after his interview with Trevor Noah on "The Daily Show" where he called the Republican Party "the minority party in this country."

Cheryl K. Chumley wrote an op-ed for The Washington Times slamming the former president for his statement about the conservatives when he appeared on Noah's show Tuesday.

"What a boor. And a bore," Chumley wrote dissing the former president.

The news outlet shared the article on Twitter with the caption, "Barack Obama, a boring boor who can't stop condemning conservatives." Several netizens immediately responded to the tweet, and many agreed with it because they also found Obama boring.

"CORRECT! BORING IS the key word. He has a seething racial inferiority complex & it is all he talks about. Name one original idea Obama has had or any original arguments. Name one subject on which he can speak authoritatively about. He is a subversive & an accomplished conman," one commented.

"This is actually correct, obama who has attempted to shut down any attempt at progressive reform is actually doing *too much* for leftists, and isn't being nice enough to the people who have taken every chance to attack him," a second user agreed.

Meanwhile, many also slammed Obama because for them he was horrible. Another user claimed that the former POTUS only wanted attention because he was bored.

"He's bored n wants attention. His disdain for conservatives is real. In his world he's the victim of conservatives who never gave him a chance. Mind you, he also wants us to believe he went to a church for 20 years n had no idea his pastor was nuts," a different user wrote.

"This is a horrible person who had done irreversible damage to our country!" another added.

Meanwhile, despite the backlash, many also defended Obama because for them he was never boring and has achieved several accomplishments in his career.

"Boring? you guys are pathetic. Twice elected, twice winner of popular vote, no impeachment, no self pardon, Nobel Prize winner, controlled Ebola outbreak before millions could die, number one seller of his books, a lawyer with a lawyer wife.. Etc #WeWantThemInfected," @Ordainedprophet commented.

"Best President in our lifetime," another wrote.

"Boring is the new exciting. #2021," a different user wrote.

In Obama's interview with Noah, he said the Republican Party is the "minority party" but it doesn't look like that due to the government structures.

"But the truth of the matter is that 60 percent of the people are occupying what I would consider a more reality-based universe, and those are the constituents we’re speaking to and that is a more diverse group," he was quoted by The Hill as saying.
