Prince William and Kate Middleton took their eldest son, Prince George, to the Euro 2020 final, and his facial expressions during and after the game caught the attention of the netizens.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's son visibly enjoyed the football game with his parents at London's Wembley Stadium Sunday. He was overjoyed when Luke Shaw's goal went in and couldn't hide his frustration when England lost to Italy after the game.
Prince George's photos and videos during the game became viral on Twitter. Many talked about his happy face when Shaw hit the goal and several could relate to the little prince's sad face when the competition ended. A number said his countenance was the mood of the country post-final. Many were also broken-hearted to see Prince George's gloomy face.

Prince William and Middleton were there to comfort their son. The Duke of Cambridge, who is the president of the Football Association, was seen rubbing his son's shoulder to make him feel better after the game.
Middleton's husband congratulated the winning team on Instagram later that day and praised England for their performance despite the loss. The future king called the experience "heartbreaking" and said he remains hopeful for the team.
"Heartbreaking. Congratulations @Azzurri on a great victory," he wrote on Instagram. "@England, you’ve all come so far, but sadly this time it wasn’t our day. You can all hold your heads high, and be so proud of yourselves — I know there’s more to come. W."
Prince William's post received several responses, and many of them mentioned his son's facial expression.
