Tyler Perry's statement about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's love received mixed responses from the netizens.

Perry, 53, spoke about the love he witnessed between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when he appeared on "Today" while discussing his upcoming film "A Jazzman's Blues." During Markle's recent interview with The Cut, Markle said she had never met Perry when he offered his home to her. Perry explained that he wanted to help them because of how they loved each other.

"What I know about them and what I wish the world knew is how much they love — these two people love each other," Perry was quoted by Insider as saying. "They found each other out of all these odds against them. The love that they have is really, really moving. And I just wanted to do anything I could to support them."

He continued, "If I don't have that, what she and Harry have, I don't want it."

Perry's statement about the Sussexes' love for each other received mixed responses on Twitter. Some agreed while others argued because they didn't see the same thing.

"Perry on damage control duty I see," one commented with a face with rolling eyes emoji. Another added, "Fake, and trying too hard, you can see it at 100 paces."

"Love is putting someone else first, making their happiness your priority, showing you'll always be there for support, Harry has always done this but the same can't be said for Meghan, she's always put herself first," a third user wrote.

A different user said Prince Harry and Markle don't love each other. Instead, what they allegedly have was a "relationship of convenience."

Several netizens also sided with the "A Madea Family Funeral" star because they agreed that Prince Harry and Markle genuinely loved each other.

"#HarryandMeghan we love you. So proud of you. Love always wins," one commented. Another said, "Love them."

"Amen! This is exactly the reason they are top of the news...LOVE BABY!" a third user wrote.

Meanwhile, some thanked Perry for helping the Sussexes. They were thankful that Perry helped Prince Harry and Markle when the two were struggling.

"Thank you Tyler got being such a good friend to Harry and Meghan when they needed it and being free to talk about it. Again thank you," one commented on the interview uploaded on YouTube.

"May God continues to bless this man with such a wonderful heart," another added.

Prince Harry and Markle moved to the United States in 2020 after stepping down from their royal duties. They stayed at Tyler's Beverly Hills mansion for a few months before moving to their $14 million home in Montecito.
