Twitter Moments users could soon stumble upon a new layout of the curated stories feature. Instead of its flipbook-style layout, Moments could have a timeline-like format that showcases related tweets. This is based on the new report claiming that Twitter is currently testing a new layout for the feature.

According to VentureBeat, a spokesperson has already confirmed that Twitter is indeed testing at least one new layout. The ongoing testing is being carried out with a small group of people. Nothing more was said of the layout that is only being tested on the mobile app of the social networking platform as of late.

Launched in 2015, Twitter Moments pertain to a feature that shows curated stories, so users can stay up-to-date with current and ongoing events. It was initially launched to a select number of publishers like BuzzFeed, NASA, Getty Images, Vogue, The New York Times and Entertainment News. Interestingly, it eventually branched out to celebrities and influencers who were given access to the feature.

Twitter Moments appear in a similar fashion as the main Twitter feed because curated tweets are also arranged in a chronological order. It would be interesting to see how the new layout would change the way users interact with the feature. However, since the layout is still in testing phase, there is no assurance that it could really become widely available.

The news about the possible Moments layout change comes a day after Twitter finally bid farewell to its Buy button. The shopping button was designed to allow users to make purchases from a tweet. Unfortunately, the button was only used by a few people. It does not come as a shock then that Twitter pulled out the Buy button from its interface. The company said that it would like to focus its efforts on other commerce products instead, as per USA Today.
