Twitter Responds To Bizarre Justin Bieber Tweet Challenging Tom Cruise To A Fight In The Octagon

On Sunday, Justin Bieber, seemingly out of nowhere, posted a tweet that challenged actor Tom Cruise to a fight in the octagon. The response from fans and non-fans ensued, adding heat to the debate of who would really win such a battle.

The tweet from Bieber reads, "I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you dont take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite ?"

Wrestler Connor McGregor graciously accepted to host the event, writing in a tweet to Bieber, “If Tom Cruise is man enough to accept this challenge, McGregor Sports and Entertainment will host the bout. Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies? Stay tuned to find out!”

The reason that Bieber wants to fight Tom Cruise is not entirely clear, but the “Mission Impossible” actor is known for doing his own stunts and was a state wrestler in high school. To make the octagon event even more spectacular, McGregor has also volunteered himself to fight actor Mark Wahlberg, which only amped up what could be the main event for UFC fans.

With the majority of Twitter users hedging their bets on Cruise, tweets chastising Bieber ensued on Monday.

One Twitter user wrote, “Tom Cruise was an all state wrestler in high school and has been training for over thirty years... You can’t eat a burrito correctly... Sit down Biebs.”

Another Twitter user wrote, “I'd pay good $ to see Justin Bieber get his lil [expletive] whooped.”

Comedian Jeff Dunham even chimed in on the news, writing in a tweet, “Justin Bieber got on Twitter and challenged Tom Cruise to a fight... And THAT’S why kids should say no to drugs. Even Trump said this guy needs to stop tweeting.”

Yet another Twitter user commented on the potential fight, writing, “I cannot overstate how much money I would pay to see Tom Cruise tuning up on Justin Bieber in an Octagon setting. Or any setting, for that matter.”

Another Twitter user is certain that Cruise would win the bout posting, “Tom Cruise jumps outta upside down helicopters... You think he’s really gonna have a problem jumping on Justin Bieber? #MondayMotivation”

Cruise has yet to comment on the tweet from Bieber or accept the challenge to fight the Canadian singer.
