Two tornadoes crashed through the small town of Pilger, Nebraska, on Monday, resulting in at least two deaths and destroying several homes.
According to the Associated Press, the 350 residents of Pilger evacuated the town as the tornadoes approached Monday afternoon. In addition to the two deaths, officials count 16 critically injured by the tornadoes.
The Stanton County sheriff estimates that up to 75 percent of the town of Pilger was heavily damaged or destroyed as a result of the tornadoes, according to USA Today.
