Tyreke Hill’s net worth is around $1.81 million. With a contract extension in place, the wide receiver is expected to become one of the highest paid in the league.
There has been chatter going on about the status of Hill but the Kansas City Chiefs are happy to put an end to it. The Chiefs announced they extended the wide receiver’s contract for three years worth $54 million. This puts him in an elite circle of highest-paid receivers in the NFL, joining the ranks of Odell Beckham Jr. who is signed for five years worth $90 million and Michael Thomas of New Orleans Saints who sits atop the rankings with a five-year, $96.25 million deal.
Keeping Hill is a no-brainer for the Chiefs. They are set to play in Super Bowl LVI against the San Francisco 49ers. His fine play this season was instrumental as the Chiefs made a run for the Super Bowl.
Hill’s path to success was not easy. He has been challenged in the past with his off the field issues. Because of this, his team decided to add a clause to his contract should he misbehave once again. Once his head is clear, Hill is one of the most explosive guys on the field. The wide receiver's speed has gained a reputation in the NFL. He is the perfect dance partner for 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes. Together, they create beautiful music together and wreak havoc to opposing team’s defense at the same time.
As proof of his star power, Hill has been in the Pro Bowl every year since he was drafted in 2016. So far, he has recorded 25 receiving touchdowns and catching 223 passes for 3,255 yards. Speedsters like him are not uncommon in the NFL but his consistency keeps him above the competition.
TH was picked in the 5th round by the Chiefs and it was safe to say, the gamble paid off. Even though he displayed massive potential early on, the teams slept on him. According to The Undefeated, Hill clocked in 20.14 seconds in the 200 meter dash when he was in high school. This record, when put in Olympics standards, would have ranked him 6th fastest in the London Olympics.
If he can get his head focused on the goal of winning the Super Bowl 2020 for the Kansas City Chiefs, the future will certainly look promising and brighter for the talented wide receiver.
