UFC 210 Fight Card, Betting Odds, Start Time And Live Stream Info
UFC 210 is set for Saturday night in Buffalo, New York, but the pay-per-view won’t begin without its share of controversy. The main event almost became a non-title bout when it looked like UFC lightweight champion Daniel Cormier had missed weight, and another fight was pulled off the main card for a few hours before being added back on.
The pay-per-view will conclude with Cormier’s title defense against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson for the 205-pound belt. The champ initially weighed in at 206.2 pounds, but he made weight when he was allowed to step on the scale moments later.
It’s a rematch of their fight at UFC 187 in which Cormier first won the belt. Johnson knocked Cormier down in the first round, but the Olympic wrestler was able to recover and score a third-round submission with a rear-naked choke.
Even though Cormier is the champ, Johnson enters the fight as the slight betting favorite. Since he lost that title fight two years ago, Johnson has been a man on a mission. He has three straight victories, all by knockout, and none of his opponents have even lasted six minutes inside the octagon. Johnson’s last fight came at UFC 202 when he stopped Glover Teixeira in 13 seconds.
Unlike the main event, the second-biggest fight on the card is expected to go the distance. Gegard Mousasi is a slight favorite over Chris Weidman in their middleweight fight.
Weidman is looking to regain his spot as one of the best fighters in the 185-pound division. He was defeated at UFC 205 by Yoel Romero, suffering a second straight knockout. Weidman has won his first nine fights in the UFC, winning the belt from Anderson Silva at UFC 162 and successfully defending it three times.
Mousasi enters UFC 210 on a four-fight winning streak. He’s recorded three straight knockouts, including a first-round knockout of Uriah Hall on Nov. 19, avenging his loss to Hall a year prior.
Cynthia Calvillo is a heavy favorite over Pearl Gonzalez, though the fight was pulled off the main card Friday morning. The New York State Athletic Commission wouldn't let Gonzalez compete in the women’s strawweight fight because she has breast implants, but Gonzalez was cleared to fight later in the afternoon.
The PPV also includes a welterweight and a lightweight belt. UFC starts at 10 p.m. EDT, and viewers can watch a live stream online for $59.99 at ufc.tv.
